Sebastian Vettel will race his last race in Formula 1 in the Abu Dhabi GP. The four-time world champion touched the height of success at Red Bull. He moved to Ferrari to attain those same heights, but failed. Now, before leaving, Vettel has instructed Charles Leclerc to fulfill his dream and get himself a street named after him.

A street named after him? Well, apparently, every Ferrari Formula 1 world champion gets himself a street named after him. They name the streets inside the Ferrari factory campus in Maranello. For example, Michael Schumacher has one, and so does Kimi Raikkonen.

Sadly, the current Aston Martin man, Vettel, could not achieve that literal landmark in Maranello. So before he retires from Formula 1, Vettel instructed his former Ferrari teammate to fulfill his dream. “Now make sure you [Charles] get one,” he told Leclerc.

Leclerc was the closest competitor to world champion Max Verstappen during the season’s beginning. However, with a combination of the F1-75’s unreliability and poor strategic calls, Ferrari lost the championship bid. Leclerc, the leader in the initial part of the season, lost his lead and is now fighting for the second spot.

However, Ferrari’s performance in the current season showcases they can pose a real challenge. And this is something Leclerc is eager to do in the 2023 season.

The Monegasque has criticized his team for poor judgments on multiple occasions. However, he is ready to fight for the championship in the upcoming season.

When asked, “Are we entering the Max Verstappen domination?” During the US Grand Prix weekend, Leclerc said, “I hope not. I’ll do everything for it to not happen.”
