THE FW-14B is known as one of the most dominant cars ever built in an F1 season. And in the hands of British superstar Nigel Mansell, it was unstoppable. Vettel had bought the car at an auction a couple of years ago, spending around $3.2 million on it. It will be the first time that he will drive the car.

F1 fans on Twitter went mad as they saw the Aston Martin driver behind the wheel of the car. He was doing a sit fit before taking it out for a ride in Silverstone on Sunday.

The German driver races with the number 5 on his car, which he credits to Mansell’s Red 5. The iconic Red 5 was visible for all on the FW14B during the 1992 season. When in 2014 F1 allowed drivers to choose their numbers, Vettel had no doubt which number would he pick.

“Obviously I’ve got the number five on my car, I won my first championship with the red five, even if it was a little bit smaller on our car back then, but still it was number five. I was wearing number five in karting, and I’m having number five now, so there’s a link there,” said Vettel.
