“Forget about it!”- After this season, Sebastian Vettel could very well take over from Johnny Depp to explain what it means. From a consistent podium winner to consistently failing to qualify for Q3, Vettel has had a horrendous 2020 season.
The downfall was directly connected to Ferrari’s poor performance. Ferrari showed a significant decrease in their power unit’s performance. As a result, the team finished scrapping the mid-field at P6 and the drivers suffered too.
Meanwhile, Fernando Alonso is preparing to make his Formula 1 comeback. In an interview, he talked about Hamilton’s dominance and compared it with Vettel’s reign while he was driving with Red Bull.

He said, “Hamilton at Mercedes. There is no domination if there is no winning machine. When you conquer a series of world titles it means that you have a decisive technical superiority.
“It happened to Hamilton, it happened to Vettel who won with Red Bull and then couldn’t win anymore. The same happened to me with Renault in 2005 and 2006.”

Toward the end of that year, it was announced that Vettel will part ways with Red Bull. He joined Ferrari in 2014 to realize his dream of winning a championship with the Maranello-based outfit.
Vettel was highly competitive with Lewis Hamilton; however, he failed to cross the line as champion. He ended his chapter with Ferrari with a terrible season. Earlier this year, he had mentioned that he would be happy to rejoin Red Bull if a seat is offered.

Daniel Ricciardo had also predicted before the season began that Vettel would move back to Red Bull. However, Vettel signed with Aston Martin for the next season.
The team replaced Ferrari in the ‘Top-3’ of the constructor standing. Hopefully, the team’s momentum will help the German get back to his race-winning days.
