Every single ordinary choice in Formula 1 stays on hold during the coronavirus emergency including the drivers’ transfer. Ferrari group head Mattia Binotto has clarified the group “love and appreciate” Sebastian Vettel as one of its drivers.

Binotto says the deferral to the beginning of the 2020 F1 season doesn’t give beneficial advantages to both of his drivers as both stays anxious to come back to racing. With the F1 season slowed down, he can’t substantiate himself on the track. It is not a great situation for Sebastian Vettel.

“I don’t think the break is good for any driver. They all love racing and are really part of their lives,” explains Binotto at Sky Sports.

“I know that Sebastian misses the normal course of events. And wants to be back on the track as soon as possible. But we can’t do that until everything is back to normal and the coronavirus is gone”, says the team principal of Ferrari.

“I think that his desire is to race at any time. Seb is an honest and straightforward person. He loves his job. That’s why he is so loved and appreciated at Ferrari”.

The biggest question is whether Sebastian Vettel will get the contract extension or not.
