Toto Wolff believes Mick Schumacher deserved a chance

Toto Wolff, the head of the Mercedes AMG Formula One team, has always been a huge admirer of Mick Schumacher. The Austrian boss has frequently expressed his desire to protect Schumacher Jr., citing the German family’s links to Mercedes.

Wolff, talking about Mick Schumacher, stated in a report published by F1, “He won [the Formula 2 title] and that is not easy. Things can go against you in your first years in Formula 1. He was under pressure to deliver and that doesn’t help, and Formula 1 is brutal.”
