The last weekend in Monaco didn’t go as planned for Charles Leclerc. Although he finished the race this time, he couldn’t do it on the podium of the home Grand Prix. Further, he faced criticism from former F1 driver Ralf Schumacher for his conduct towards the team after the race.

However, Ralf Schumacher didn’t appreciate Charles’s behavior towards the Italian constructors. The former F1 driver mentioned that the Ferrari made fewer errors than Leclerc this season, possibly suggesting Charles’ poor performance in Imola.

Amidst all the criticism Leclerc is getting for what he said to Ferrari, there is still a lot of support for the Monegasque. The Ferrari man is still among the favorites to win the 2022 championship as he is just nine-point behind leader Max Verstappen. Further, he gained the support of Lewis Hamilton.

The seven-time world champion struggles to drive the W13, leaving him unable to compete for the 2022 championship. But he would be supporting the young Monegasque to win the title against the reigning champion.

“Leclerc is very strong, you could always see that,” Hamilton reported to Corriere della Sera. “I would say one thing: if I could sit down with the fans on the bleachers over there, I would support Charles. I am a Ferrari fan.”
