Communication is one of the most vital aspects of racing. This specific scenario has been playing out with Ferrari wonder Charles Leclerc who appears to have been shredded to the core by Ferrari’s carelessness. The team’s negligence has repeatedly stabbed the Monegasque driver who is attempting to end Ferrari’s title drought. While putting in all of his efforts to reach the top, the Ferrari man has not received the best assistance from his team, which culminated in a repeat telecast of a horror show only four weeks after committing a significant misstep.
On a difficult day for the Maranello-based team, Leclerc drove the sluggish SF23 to sixth place. However, it came to light that the 25-year-old was handed a three-place grid penalty as the Stewards pointed out. He impeded Oscar Piastri’s lap time. While attempting to qualify for Q2, Piastri worked hard to set the time, however at the penultimate corner, as the Ferrari driver prepared to enter the pit lane, the McLaren rookie had to slow down, sabotaging his own qualifying.
This scene complicated Leclerc’s life as he had to do extra effort throughout the short race, which he eventually finished in P12. Although this incident was not entirely Leclerc’s fault, it was undoubtedly an erroneous interpretation that resulted in the Monegasque receiving the punishment. A similar scene occurred during the Monaco Grand Prix, where the 25-year-old received a three-place grid penalty because of the Scuderia’s miscommunication after he was discovered blocking Lando Norris while exiting the high-speed tunnel.
