From a dynamic perspective, Scuderia Ferrari are crawling through a rough patch in their career and the same was prevalent in their race in Sochi.
The car has not lived up to the expectations of the fans or the team, and the Prancing Stallion as a whole has enduringly lacked cohesiveness. In such a situation, Charles Leclerc and Vettel need to work on their stress.
At Sochi, before the race, the two racers blew off some steam by indulging in soccer.

Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel turn to soccer to blow off steam
Charles Leclerc tweeted a picture of him playing with Vettel at the Sochi Autodrom today. Both the racers had forgotten their tension and gained a calm demeanor before the race. Although the results were not pleasing enough for the Italians, their drivers had a good time pre-race.
The tweet portrayed the feisty relationship between the drivers. “Warmed up with Seb before the race yesterday. He was very impressed with my football skills.”

Charles Leclerc enjoyed a decent outing, grabbing a P6 behind Daniel Ricciardo. However, Vettel was in for a disappointment, yet again. The German stated that he got stuck between the Alfa Romeo and Haas cars and couldn’t recover from the situation. After a scary crash during the Q2, Sebastian’s chances had already slimmed.
Ferrari has been on thin ice for quite some time, and this season witnessed a massive escalation of situations. And rightly so, considering how a team that was used to points finishes, if not podiums, has tumbled to the middle order.
Sochi was an embarrassment to the scarlet marquee. The race saw Sebastian Vettel stuck between two customer teams, struggling to find a way past them. Kimi Raikkonen and Kevin Magnussen gave a good fight to the 4-time World Champion.

Charles Leclerc, on the contrary, had an interesting race. And it seems like the Monegasque is the man for Ferrari this year. Although he was in deep water after the Stroll incident, the FIA let it slide.
The Ferrari #16 did well to hold his own against rivals in relatively superior machinery. Although he couldn’t grab a podium finish, he was well in the game for one. Leclerc secured the maximum points for the team, keeping portion of their dignity intact.
Ferrari’s strategy for this season is simply to wait the storm out, get as many points as they can, and avoid any major embarrassments. The team had been in agreement regarding the regulations from 2022. Therefore, they will be looking forward to the years to come.
