Roscoe doesn't care about Leclerc's son—Is this a metaphor for Ferrari's current F1 struggles?

When Lewis Hamilton first saw Roscoe (back then, a mere nameless dog), he was in a shelter. The F1 champ felt an instant connection and since then, the duo has been inseparable. Now, Roscoe is a regular in the F1 paddock and surprisingly, Hamilton maximizes his race results every time the bulldog is around! Currently, there is another new little celebrity – Charles Leclerc’s dog. And, the soon-to-be teammates finally arranged for a playdate for their babies.

Known for his friendly nature, Roscoe is easily loved by everyone in the paddock. Considered as the ‘lucky charm’ Hamilton’s bestie is a popular name among the F1 pets. The ‘most important’ dog of the paddock is a worldwide sensation. Roscoe’s recent meeting with Leclerc’s puppy (read: son) Leo has been the talk of the town. And following that meet-up, Roscoes’s dad shared an insight. And Tifosi might find it devastating.

Ahead of the Hungarian GP, the Mercedes duo: Lewis Hamilton and George Russell braced the stage of the fan zone. When asked about Roscoe and Leo’s playdate in Silverstone. This is what Hamilton had to say: “Roscoe doesn’t care about anything but food.” So Roscoe is a foodie! But what about becoming best friends with Leo? The would-be teammate’s pets could become friends in the future. But, just imagine – a bowl of dog food versus Leo, and the bowl of food is the winner for Roscoe. The bulldog is truly a character!

While Hamilton is an experienced dog dad, Charles Leclerc is new to parenthood. However, both drivers share a common love for animals, especially for their pets. Recently, Leclerc shared a carousel of photos and videos on his social media. These photos and videos were of Roscoe meeting Leo for the first time. Lewis Hamilton was also present and chatted with Charles, while their sons spent quality time. Fans had been desperately waiting for such ‘pawsome’ moments and finally, dreams came true!

Little Leo was quick and nimble but ‘big boy’ Roscoe was more laid back. However, both were in a playful mood and seemed to have enjoyed each other’s company. Hopefully, this won’t be the first and only time that the two meet for a playdate. With Lewis moving in with Ferrari next season, such meet-ups are sure to become more frequent.

Roscoe and Leo could be best friends unless food comes in between! Lewis Hamilton’s hilarious revelation about Roscoe might not send alarms to Tifosi. However, they would expect the two pups to harmonize more as their dads become teammates next year. At the same time, the bond these drivers share with their pets is extremely heartfelt and endearing, and fans are loving it.
