This year’s Formula 1 season is one of the most exciting seasons the fans have witnessed in a while, thanks to Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton. The two going wheel to wheel each race weekend, with the Briton aiming to secure a record eighth world championship. On the other hand, Verstappen is seeking his first championship title.
Currently, the Dutchman leads the drivers’ championship, just 12 points ahead of his arch-rival, Hamilton. And with just five races remaining this year, the fans are in for a real treat.
Considering how intense the title fight is between the two title protagonists, the 2016 world champion, Nico Rosberg, finds it difficult to decide whom to root for.

What did Nico Rosberg say?
When asked who will win the driver’s championship this season, Lewis Hamilton or Max Verstappen, the former Mercedes driver found it difficult to decide and responded: “Somehow I would still lean towards Lewis.”
“Through experience and because he [Hamilton] normally always wins in the end! It’s so difficult to beat him. Somehow I think he can still do it (…), but Max is a giant at the moment,” concluded Nico Rosberg. (Translated via Google Translate)
So the winner of 23 career races did choose Lewis but with a cautionary statement that hinted towards a possible upset. Considering both the drivers drive similar cars and are in great form, it’s really tough to confidently guess things from here.

As quoted by PlanetF1, when asked if this year’s title fight is the hardest battle he has had in his career, Hamilton replied: “No, I wouldn’t say so. I was just thinking earlier on today about all the championships I’ve fought in since I was 10.”
“And there have been so many difficult moments and they are all very similar in their own way, but all unique in their own way at the same time,” added the Briton.
