Romain Grosjean may have left F1 at the end of 2020 in the way he didn’t want to as his crash in Bahrain saw race his last race for Haas.
Hence, in order to give a proper send-off to the Frenchmen, Mercedes wants to give a drive at the French Grand, Grosjean’s home race.
However, it had to be postponed due to quarantine restrictions, but that didn’t stop Grosjean from trolling the Silver Arrows, as he might get a chance to try the latest aerodynamics update.

Romain Grosjean jokes with Mercedes about the new aero updates
The Frenchman was set to drive for Mercedes, Grosjean even went to Brackley earlier in the year to have his suit fit and get to know the car a bit better. It was announced that Grosjean will drive the car in front of his home crowd at the French GP in June.
However, due to the COVID-19 quarantine restrictions, the test had to be postponed to later in the summer. But, the Brackley-based squad has promised to give the 35-year-old the keys to the most dominating car on the grid.

However, Grosjean wasn’t disappointed at the canceled event but rather joked that he will get a better and improved car to drive around the track. Romain wrote on Twitter, “Just waiting for the latest aero update to come.”

The Silver Arrows intend to keep their promise to the Frenchmen
The 7-time world champions gave a guarantee to the Frenchmen that he will be in the seat for Mercedes, to get proper send-off from F1.
Fans were thrilled to see Grosjean at the team factory in Brackley and were looking forward to seeing him drive around Paul Ricard. However, certain restrictions have postponed the plan of seeing Romain in a Silver Arrow.
Mercedes will stick to their word and give the former Haas driver a chance, they wrote, “We’re disappointed to announce that. Mercedes test has been postponed because of travel restrictions and quarantine requirements.

“We’re committed to giving Romain his chance in a Mercedes F1 car and we’re working to reschedule the test later this summer.”
The Brackley-based squad will now turn their attention to the actual race for the upcoming weekend. The team will look to bounce back from their horrible race in Baku and hope they put on a fight against title rivals, Red Bull who currently lead the championship table.
