After a dissatisfying beginning to the season, McLaren’s much-awaited upgrades did wonders for Lando Norris. He had a great Austrian GP where he scored as many points in one race as he did in the 8 races before that – 12. After the race, there was a sense of happiness and a gleam of hope in his eyes. And the upgrades have come at the perfect time for him. The next GP is his home race at Silverstone. How do you think Norris feels right now? Happy? Excited? Well, listening to his latest statements, it’s both.

In Austria, the Briton showed the results he is capable of achieving. He looked so comfortable with the MCL60 that Lewis Hamilton looked nervous while defending against him. Norris even had the time and mental capacity to point out his compatriot’s mistakes on the track. For him, the British GP is the cherry on top after the Austrian GP turnaround. The 23-year-old will get immense support from his home crowd. And he has been on every podium there since 2014. And George Russell has been more successful than Norris this season. But the McLaren Talisman is confident of further upgrades to the MCL60 and believes he can come out on top.

Norris said, as quoted by Reuters, “There’s further upgrades to come so I would say there’s good potential for us to compete against them again and for me to be the top Brit. That would be a pretty cool thing to do at Silverstone.”
