Before the Dutch Grand Prix took place, Raikkonen announced his retirement from F1. While Alfa Romeo replaced him with Bottas, Giovinazzi‘s future remains in doubt as his contract expires at the end of this season.
Younger drivers always remain a threat to drivers on the F1 grid. However, if they come with huge financial backing, the threat isn’t just real, but it’s magnified in unbelievable manner. In this regard, Zhou looks the biggest threat to Giovinazzi’s 2022 seat in Alfa Romeo.
According to Marca, who mentioned RMC Motori, the Chinese star could offer the team a whopping 30 million euros to secure a seat. Considering the wonders that sum of money could do, one may wonder it’s only a matter of time before Zhou joins Alfa Romeo.
