Fernando Alonso left the sport in 2018 but left some hints regarding a potential comeback. And the two-time world champion makes a comeback with Alpine this season. After a difficult start to life on his return to F1, the Spaniard has finally found his feet in the sport.

However, Fernando Alonso on his return has started an interesting activity by swapping helmets with other drivers on the grid. Although Helmet swapping is not a new tradition in F1; the Spaniard has been on it at full swing this season.

The Alpine driver has previously swapped helmets with the likes of Sebastian VettelGeorge Russell, Nicholas Latifi, and Nikita Mazepin. And the new drivers to add to this list are Lando Norris and Antonio Giovinazzi.

‘You are a star’: Fernando Alonso to Norris

Earlier this season the two-time world champion made his intention clear to swap the helmets with every Formula 1 driver this year. And after the Austrian Grand Prix, Fernando Alonso swapped helmets with Lando Norris, another indisputable talent of the British school.

The Spaniard inscribed on the helmet he gave to the British driver: “You are a star, a rock star !! best of luck for the future, Lando”. An appreciated and deserved gift for Lando Norris after a sensational performance at Red Bull Ring and securing the fourth podium of his career.

Alonso and Giovinazzi swapped helmets ahead of Euro 2020

The Italian driver Antonio Giovinazzi and the Spaniard Fernando Alonso swapped helmets ahead of the much-anticipated Euro 2020 fixture between Italy and Spain.

Taking to Instagram, Antonio Giovinazzi posted an image with Fernando Alonso with the caption: “If you dare to dream, your heroes can even become your rivals” before sending a comical warning.

“PS: Diplomacy is on hold- tomorrow only (Tuesday)” he added with two flags of Spain and Italy.

Although, Antonio Giovinazzi had the last laugh as Italy knocked out La Roja and cemented their place in the final of Euro 2020. Azzurri will either face England or Denmark, with the final to be played in Wembley on Sunday.
