We all know how much Lewis Hamilton loves Brazil. The love affair started with his reverence for Formula 1 legend, Ayrton Senna, during his childhood. He then won his first-ever world championship in the final race in Brazil in 2008. It was only fitting when the Brazilian Parliament granted him honorary citizenship. But the decision did not go well with Nelson Piquet Jr. as he questioned what the Briton had done for the country apart from just racing there.

Witnessing the situation firsthand, Lewis made an appeal for people to make donations to the campaign. “For me, it’s been a great day to meet all of these wonderful kids. But I just want everyone to know the money you guys put towards these charities, and especially for this one, these kids are able to enjoy their lives and experience things they never would have without the money. So keep it coming please,” he said.
