2020 was a weird season as F1 held the races behind closed doors with no fans because of the pandemic. But this year, signs have been more positive as the sport has welcomed back fans to a few of the races. And now Formula One has announced that the Italian Grand Prix 2021 will welcome fans back to the Monza circuit.

The authorities have confirmed that the Italian Grand Prix will take place with 50% capacity at the circuit. The capacity may change as per the government measures and state of the country regarding the Covid cases. Tifosi attending will need the green pass to access the circuit.

Monza to host the second sprint race after Silverstone

Monza, known as ‘the temple of speed’, will host the second sprint qualifying after Silverstone. Ross Brawn, Managing Director, stated that the reception to the first sprint qualifying made him thrilled. He also mentioned that it was heartening to see drivers go all out with no pit stops.

When asked if we will see any change in the format for the second sprint, Brawn stated, “No major things but a lot of things we need to take away from this weekend and think about with, time, and see if we can fine-tune them.

“But I’m really pleased with the overall concept,” Brawn concluded.

I feel like it can be a strong race for us: Charles Leclerc on Hungary GP

Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc is optimistic about the Hungarian Grand Prix. The Hungaroring should suit the characteristics of the Ferrari car.

The circuit has lots of slow and medium-speed corners which have been the strength of Ferrari this season. They often call this circuit ‘Monaco without walls’.
