Mercedes had protested the outcome of the title-deciding race, but choose to withdraw their complaint. However, they would like the FIA to review the events of the final race of the season.

Lewis Hamilton has reportedly given an ultimatum to the FIA and demands answers from the governing body following the events of the controversial Abu Dhabi GP.

The 7-time world champion had a heated battle with Red Bull driver Max Verstappen through the course of the season. The Knight won eight races, took five pole positions, and finished on the podium seventeen times. The Mercedes driver had 387.5 points under his belt at the end of the season, but unfortunately, that wasn’t enough as he lost the title to Verstappen in the final race at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Despite the fact that Lewis has extended his contract with the Brackley-based squad for another season, there is still speculation over whether he would return to the sport following the events of the controversial finale of the 2021 season.
