Russian driver Daniil Kvyat left AlphaTauri at the end of last season to make way for Yuki Tsunoda and become the reserve driver for Alpine. With the drivers’ market for 2022 becoming the subject of massive speculation, many questioned whether he could make his way back to F1. But there are reports suggesting that the Russian could be driving in Formula E instead.
When the 2020 season came to a close, the F1 community had thought they had seen the last of Kvyat on the grid. However, it did come as a surprise that the French team signed as a reserve driver. Although he hasn’t made an appearance this season, it is no surprise that he is looking for options away from the F1 grid.

When drivers don’t get the opportunity that they seek in Formula One, they look to Formula E; a prime example of this is the current world champion, Nyck de Vries. So, it is not a surprise to see Kvyat having talks with a team to join them next year.
As reported by The Race, Dragon Penske is the team that is trying to convince Kvyat to put pen to paper. However, it also suggests that the deal might not go through until November.
It also revealed that Daniil’s management at All-Road Management ran by Nicholas Todt has held talks with the team for a possible drive in the championship next season. Additionally, Kvyat was also linked to Nissan e.dams, as Oliver Rowland had parted ways with the team.
