It is fair to say the Miami Grand Prix was a successful event. With celebrities all around the paddock, the hype for the race was at an all-time high. The number of household names on the show was perfectly illustrated during Martin Brundle’s iconic grid walk, which turned out to be rather awkward.

On the track, Max Verstappen held on to win the inaugural Miami Grand Prix, driving a flawless race at the physically exhausting Miami circuit. As temperatures rose high, drivers and teams suffered from high heat levels and heavy amounts of track rubber.

Red Bull’s performance would have satisfied Christian Horner, without a doubt. After an enticing battle, an exhausted Horner spoke about the Miami Grand Prix and the reception he received.

Michael Jordan, David Beckham, Michelle Obama, Tom Brady and so many other celebrities and superstar athletes made their presence known during the Mimi GP. As Red Bull secured an incredible result, the reception during the event overwhelmed Christian Horner.

Speaking to the F1 Nation podcast, the Briton said, “Great. The reception, I’ve never had a Grand Prix where I was so busy. I was relieved when the lights went out. I mean, the reception that we have had in Miami has been insane this weekend and you can see America’s waking up to Formula 1, and that’s so exciting because you know, it takes it to a new dimension.”

The fans witnessed some epic racing action and incredible performances from the celebrity superstars. Miami has certainly welcomed the sport in its own way and many believe it will only get better. Further, the country will also witness a race in Las Vegas in 2023, as the demand for F1 in the States is continuously growing.

Meanwhile, during Sunday’s race, Verstappen secured an impressive victory as Red Bull closed the gap to Ferrari. The Dutchman started from third and overtook Sainz in the first lap and after some exciting racing drama; he went clear of title rival Leclerc. The gap between the two is now down to just 19 points as Red Bull has momentum on their side.
