The little off-season time between the seasons allows the teams to assess their previous season and make changes to prepare for the next. And from what it looks like, Ferrari, after a disastrous and severely disappointing end, is trying to make the most of it. It sacked team principal Mattia Binotto and appointed Fred Vasseur, who is now making big strides for the team as he attempts to fix the mistakes of the former boss.
So what did the Frenchman do that made the Tifosi rejoice in these gloomy times? What has been done that will ease all of their sorrows? Well, Vasseur has moved the former race strategy chief, Inaki Rueda, to a factory role, something that was planned by Binotto himself. And as the replacement, Ferrari has promoted the race strategy engineer, Ravin Jain, a graduate of Oxford University with a first-class degree in physics and a distinction in a master’s degree in mathematical and theoretical physics, into the forefront pit wall role, as reported by Autosport.

But but but! There’s a catch to it. Fans are also comically thanking Lewis Hamilton for his shirtless selfie for making the switch happen, since Ferrari’s strategies last year were the main reason behind their colossal failures in crucial positions. And in case you are wondering what the connection between Lewis being shirtless and the transfer is? Well, Lewis goes shirtless, and the paddock goes into a shuffle. Previous victims include Nicolas Latifi, Mick Schumacher, and Mattia Binotto himself.
Tifosi is delighted with the recent appointment
Strategy was one of the biggest woes for the Maranello, as they lost plenty of precious points in the early stages of the last season. But the fans hope that with a car already reported to be a second faster than last year’s, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz might have a better shot at the title against Max Verstappen and his squad. The new wave of happiness is intoxicating, and all the fans welcome the move.

And while Rueda has been moved, Vasseur defended him by scattering the blame of the previous failures equally on everyone, as he said, “Very often, when you are speaking about strategy, it’s much more a matter of organization than just the guy who is on the pit wall.”

Nevertheless, Lewis’s timing added a hysterical component to the whole episode. On a serious note, it’s good to see Ferrari making serious institutional changes before the season.
