If you’re not a Red Bull fan, the year must be passing agonizingly slowly. However, if you are part of the ‘Mad Max’ fury on the road, the year is far from over. Despite the constructors and drivers titles wrapped up, the end credits are yet to roll for Red Bull. With five races yet to go, there are a number of records to be listed under Max Verstappen’s name. As the Dutch Driver inches closer to the win record of Alain Prost and Sebastian Vettel, he has slowly and silently crawled towards a record held by Lewis Hamilton.
Max Verstappen almost lost out on a win in the Austin Grand Prix 2022. A slow pit stop caused him to lose out 11 seconds behind the seven-time world champion, Lewis Hamilton. Pushing the car to the limit, the Dutch driver overtook Hamilton on lap 50 of 56. Continuing the show of dominance in 2022, he dedicated his win to the late Dietrich Maseshtiz, the co-founder of Redbull. However, a year later, the departure of the Austrian Businessman caused some strife in the Red Bull camp ahead of the United States Grand Prix.

Howdy! As the red carpet is being laid for the star-studded US Grand Prix, the run of dominance of the Verstappen train is expected to continue. His record of the most laps led, a whopping 739, is a testimony to his sheer command of RB19. Having already broken Sebastian Vettel’s record of most consecutive wins, he is, now, on to the seven-time world champion. But how?
In 2016 Lewis Hamilton took his 50th victory at the US Grand Prix after his 185th race start. He became the third driver in history to have 50 wins to his name, becoming a part of the club of elite drivers. However, in the same race, an 18-year-old Max Verstappen encountered a gearbox failure. After an astonishing P4 run, he had no choice but to retire.
To date, the elite club houses Alain Prost, Michael Schumacher, Lewis Hamilton, and Sebastian Vettel. Irony, some might call it, the Dutch driver is set to take the 50th win of his career on the same circuit. But in his own dominant fashion. As the Verstappen dominance continues, the Dutch Driver is set to name the record after himself. With his 181st race start, if the world champion wins in Austin, he would break Hamilton’s record of 50 wins in 185 races.

But all might not be glory at Red Bull. Despite smashing records all year, tensions are at an all-time high at the Constructors.
Will Verstappen break the record as he dismisses the ‘BS’ rumors?
As hopes build up for Verstappen to overtake his rival’s record, Red Bull has found itself in muddy waters. With drivers caught between the ceasefire of the Team Leads, Max Verstappen is scrambling to find a middle ground. With the latest product of the rumor mill, Christian Horner wanting to sack Helmut Marko, the Red Bull PR is having nightmares.
Marko has been publicly critical of the organizational changes at Red Bull after Maseshistz’s death. Known as the right-hand man of Red Bull, co-founder, his glory days at the Austrian Outfit might be numbered. With his remarks on Sergio Perez, he has opened a Pandora’s box.

However, Max Verstappen denied the strife between the team. “From the outside people are trying to basically talk some B.S. [bullshit]. I think the mood in the team is very good. Everyone knows exactly what their role is,” he insisted.
He elaborated that no changes at an organizational level are being made, “Of course, it was sad times last year when Dietrich passed away. But we tried to keep that legacy moving forward. Everyone that we have right now in the team is very important to that success that we’re having. So that’s why there are also no changes for the future. I think that basically explains it.”
