After claiming that Formula One is becoming “a bit boring” as a result of Lewis Hamilton and his team’s eight years of supremacy, Verstappen appears to have turned the tide. The Dutchman has demonstrated remarkable consistency in season 2022, and it appears that he has continued on the same path this year as well. Winning two of the first three races and getting a P2 at Jeddah Max Verstappen has shown unreal dominance. Red Bull has mastered the formula of winning since the regulations were updated at the start of 2022 and after ruling the circuit last year with their distinctive side pods and extremely aggressive undercuts at the front, with a few minor modifications it appears that they will remain unstoppable for this season as well.

The current season has become “boring” as a result of the combination of all these things and a phenomenal driver like Max Verstappen, who has transformed team Red Bull into a formidable force. A similar philosophy was prophesied by ex-Red Bull team member Daniil Kvyat. According to the Russian Driver, the season will remain boring until the other two rivals of Austrian Outfit get their “set up.”

On a recent episode of the Track Limits podcast, Kvyat said, “The next one would be interesting yeah when Mercedes and Ferrari will step up the game understand.” when asked about his prediction of the upcoming season. Later, he continued while speculating that Ferrari and Mercedes, who are now lagging behind the explosive Red Bull, may adopt a dubious strategy.

The F1 community as a whole has reacted differently to Red Bull’s domination; some believe it has rendered the sport monotonous, while others believe it has always been the case, citing Mercedes dominance and how Verstappen’s fighting nature has made it interesting.

How the Formula One community is responding to the astonishing dominance of Max Verstappen and Co.

Last season, Max Verstappen set a record for the most victories in a season by winning 15 of the 22 races. Additionally, he broke the record for the most points scored in a season (454) at the very end. However, a part of the F1 community believes that Verstappen’s domination is making sports dull. Whereas the opposing side is of the opinion that witnessing Lewis Hamilton and Co. dominate the sports for eight long years was extremely boring. The McLaren team CEO spoke amid this and said something that might upset Mercedes fans.

As per Marca, Zak Brown said last year, “When you look at Verstappen’s overwhelming dominance, it might seem like a boring year, but it wasn’t. Every race was very exciting and I think it was better than other years.”

Before Max [Verstappen], Formula 1 was bit boring. The way Max is fighting, made it exciting and people like it.”
