It is official. Honda has parted ways with Red Bull and AlphaTauri; both Formula One teams have removed the Japanese engine manufacturer from their social media handles.
Honda joined the Milton Keynes-based outfit and their sister team at the start of the 2019 season. Now, after three years, they have ended their partnership on a high as this season saw Max Verstappen become the world champion.

Red Bull & AlphaTauri part ways with Honda
During the 2021 season, it was announced that the Japanese engine manufacturer will exit Formula One at the end of the season. Now with both teams (Red Bull & AlphaTauri) removing Honda from their social media pages, it is official that they have left the F1 grid. From now on, Red Bull will be responsible for making their power units for themselves and their sister team AlphaTauri.

How did Red Bull perform in their last season with the Japanese engine manufacturer?
The Milton Keynes-based team recruited driver Sergio Perez from Racing Point for the 2021 season to partner with Max Verstappen. Checo had five podiums and one win to his credit. He finished the drivers’ championship in fourth place with 190 points.

Verstappen, on the other hand, won the world championship in the title-deciding race at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The 24-year-old concluded the season with a total of 395.5 points, ten victories, ten pole positions, and eighteen podium finishes.
