What’s better than being a three-time world champion, you ask? How about being a three-time world champion and having not one but two anthems dedicated to you? Because that’s exactly what Max Verstappen has. What he also has is probably the most dedicated fanbase Formula 1 has ever seen—the Orange Army. When it comes to the Orage Army, there’s one thing Verstappen can be certain of. No matter what he does, his fanbase (basically the entirety of the Netherlands) will always have his back.
They’ll have his back no matter what he does. That’s established. But when he does something as extraordinary as winning his first race as an 18-year-old or even winning a championship (or three), it gets ten times the hype. And to celebrate their home hero, the Orange Army has produced these two songs that have become their evergreen anthems.
Super Max! by Pitstop Boys

As far as anthems go, nothing can beat the original. And the OG when it comes to Max Verstappen songs is this tune. “Max, Max, Max! Super Max, Max! Super, Super Max, Max, Max!” It’s become a chant that not just everyone in the Orange Army but also every F1 fan is familiar with. Released in 2016 after Verstappen made the switch to Red Bull, the song is basically an ode to the Dutch lion. Who can forget that Verstappen jumped into Red Bull mid-season at the Spanish GP and won that race? No wonder the Pitstop Boys sing, “He is the king of Barcelona.”
That moment established the Dutchman as a force to reckon with. So it makes sense that the song basis is that Spanish GP victory and every quality of Verstapen’s that shone through. Be it his “special overtakes” or the fact that “he is a hero and goes to the maximum.” For the Orange Army, “He is a boss, a wonder of the world.” Turns out Verstappen’s Orange Army includes a Papaya Army member, too! If any driver on the grid would be a member of the Orange Army, it would be Lando Norris. The 23-year-old is good friends with Verstappen, and he’s also a big fan of Super Max! and its follow-up!
After Verstappen won the 2021 championship, Pitstop Boys released another song called “Super Max! Yo Hey, Yo Ho!” Although Norris sympathized with Lewis Hamilton after the tough loss, he was mighty happy for Verstappen. During a Twitch stream with Verstappen, Norris played the original song and vibed to it. He couldn’t get over how “awesome” the song was. Once the new one came out, he sang along with that chart-topper, too! These songs became especially popular after the championship win and featured on several countries’ Spotify Viral 50. And what would’ve made the Pitstop Boys happier than watching their hero partying to the song after his first championship?
33 Max Verstappen by Carte Blanq & Maxx Power
Before Verstappen won the 2021 title, every Orange Army member (and Verstappen stan) felt nothing could beat the adrenaline rush that comes with Super Max! But once the win came, Carte Blanq and Maxx Power—electronic dance music artists—collaborated and created what is now a masterpiece for Verstappen fans. “Tu Tu Tu Du, Max Verstappen! Tu Tu Tu Du, Max Verstappen!” It has the energy, the hype, and all the feels that every fan must’ve felt when Verstappen crossed the line first in Abu Dhabi that night. The best part? The song features Max’s engineer GP’s iconic “Oh my lord, Max!” and Verstappen’s uncontrolled delight on the radio after he crossed the finish line.

Of the two anthems, this is the more popular one, but that doesn’t take the shine off of Super Max! One bit. However, Spotify did take the shine of 33 Max Verstappen. On his birthday this year (September 30), every fan of the three-time champion would’ve wanted to blast the tune and celebrate their hero. But much to their dismay, Spotify replaced the original song with another version. Needless to say, everyone was mad. But worry not. You can listen to the original song on YouTube!
