Max Verstappen and the Orange army are on cloud nine at the moment. With multiple records broken, the Dutchman already has one hand on the driver’s title. Yet, there has been constant contempt from fans and other drivers’ side regarding the unstoppable dominance. Amid all this, Marvel Star Nicholas Hoult names the best driver as he rubbishes Max Verstappen’s F1 dominance.

Red Bull and Max Verstappen have been in a different league altogether. At times, the Dutchman made the rest of the grid look like Formula 2 cars, as was advised by Toto Wolff. Even Nicholas Hoult, the Marvel star who played Hank McCoy aka the Beast in the X-Men, isn’t a fan of Max Verstappen’s dominance. Hoult himself is a huge petrolhead and loves anything and everything that has an engine and wheels.

During a recent podcast, Hoult advised that he isn’t a Max Verstappen fan as he also advised that he understands that he will get a lot of hate for it. He added how he was really happy with the Ferrari comeback last year which eventually got plagued by the strategic errors. Talking about the Italian GP, he added that seeing Verstappen overtake the Ferrari for the lead made him lose interest. 

According to the Fast and the Curious podcast, Nicholas Hoult said, “Maybe people will hate me for this one, but I’m not a Max fan. So the race last weekend, I did kind of end up, like I was excited that Ferrari was the season before, where it seemed like they might be in the hunt, they just kind of had a terrible year of team management and decision making. But the car was quick and I was so excited that they’re doing well again.” He added, “To be honest when I saw Max taking the lead I was ‘Yeah, okay.’ So I’m kind of not tuned in because of it.”

Nonetheless, Hoult also took the opportunity to name one of the best F1 drivers on the grid and it’s not a Ferrari driver despite his love for the Tifosi. Hoult said, “I’m happy to see Alonso doing well, he’s also been one of the best drivers on the grid.” Hoult’s love for Ferrari might stem from the fact that he’s planning on racing with them.

Nicholas Hoult to race with Ferrari?

While explaining his love for Ferrari and the disappointment of last year, Nicholas Hoult advised that he was planning on racing with Ferrari. He said, “I’ve been training to race with Ferrari so I was happy to see them doing well.” We dug a little deeper into the story and found out that Hoult has been training with Ferrari and plans on racing in Ferrari’s challenge series. 

Talking about the joy of driving, Hoult told Vanity Fair, “It’s funny because I get in my head, and I’m like, Right, I want to do better. I want to get better lap times. I want to get that corner right. I want to make sure that I can control the car in the way that I should, and feel relaxed. But then I remember, this is a dream coming true, and to enjoy it. So I’ve been doing that. Just sitting and reflecting after a day of driving”
