The United States of America is famous for many things. It’s its diversity and quirkiness that attracts so many to the shores of this great land. That being said, the States has also seen a booming surge in popularity for Formula 1 racing. Needless to say, with three blockbuster Grands Prix billed in 2023, F1 drivers and their friends and family will be seeing a lot of US this time around. Kelly Piquet, Max Verstappen‘s GF however, has put on her finest tourist hat to take all the sights, that the US has to offer!

Recently, Piquet, Brazilian model and daughter to 3x champion, Nelson Piquet took a trip to The Big Apple. And while there’s pretty much everything on offer for literally everyone on this globe in New York, Piquet decided to take a detour to Times Square to witness a pretty unique and quirky novelty that one can only find in Manhattan.

Kelly Piquet visits the Naked Cowboy!

Apart from the spectacular sights and the never-ending nightlife, Times Square has one more pull for tourists: the famous Naked Cowboy. Born Robert John Burck, the 52-year-old American singer-songwriter has made a name for himself appearing almost daily at Times Square, crooning with nothing but a cowboy hat, boots, and his underwear!

And Piquet wasn’t the only who’d wanna miss this. She promptly appeared to take a gander at Burck. She took to her Instagram account to share a video of the Naked Cowboy and, in awe, captioned her story, “I LOVE NY. The naked cowboy still going strong.”

In reality, Piquet has a far more special bond that she shares with New York City than just her love for quirky attractions.

Piquet owes her life to America

Piquet wasn’t going to rest on the laurels and money of her world-champion father. For Piquet, it was important to leave her own mark on the world. And fashion was the only language she knew. Luckily for her, America shared her passion and was more than happy to give her a chance and her big break.

According to People, “While in N.Y.C., Piquet started working in fashion, and held roles as a stylist assistant at Vogue Latin America and as a buyer for Bergdorf Goodman. She also followed in her mom’s footsteps in the modeling industry, working with brands like Pepe Jeans, PatBo and Louis Vuitton.”
