The Christian Horner saga just keeps on giving and we’ve had plenty of things to talk about. Recently, another piece of news came out concerning the drama and it’s a massive step if you look at the bigger picture. This particular development not only concerns Horner and Jos Verstappen who he’s allegedly buried the hatched with, but also his son Max Verstappen.
For the unaware, Jos Verstappen and Horner had a massive falling out after the former’s public outburst toward Horner. The Dutchman had claimed Horner “is playing the victim when he is the one causing the problems.” Further, he demanded the Brit’s resignation, as he believed his presence was tearing Red Bull apart.
This opinion had a carryforward effect as rumors of Max Verstappen leaving Red Bull to join Mercedes after ending his contract early started making rounds. Jos Verstappen being pictured with Toto Wolff fanned the fire of these rumors and even Horner claimed he can’t force the reigning world champion to stay if he doesn’t want to.

However, after a few weeks of spiraling, the team is taking back control as reported by Mirror Sport. According to the report, the team took steps toward an uneasy truce to put the collective goal, Max Verstappen’s fourth championship title, on priority. A meeting was conducted with all the major players to unite the team toward this goal and stop the drama from spilling onto the track. It is understood they will now hold a united front to achieve this goal.
Although with or without the drama, Red Bull has been flawless in the first two races. However, championships aren’t decided with two races, especially not in a 24-race calendar. So putting the focus back onto the team, Horner also expressed his faith in Red Bull.

Christian Horner defuses the situation by expressing his faith in the team
There has been a lot of internal turmoil in the team and every individual takes a certain piece of information in their own unique way. However, the off-track drama hasn’t affected Red Bull in any way, shape, or form, at least on the track. They managed to put up a flawless alliance during both race weekends. This is the kind of performance that brings a team closer and strengthens their bond, which is exactly what Horner highlighted while putting faith in his people.
Horner said, “We have a strong bond with him. His focus is on the work on the track and ours. A team is a team. Max is part of that, and so is Helmut. I lead the team, but everyone has their role. And that’s all it is. Of course, we always listen to what Max has to say. But the team always makes decisions that are the right ones for the team. Whether it’s strategy or the choice of engines, we do what’s best for the team. And our team is very stable. That’s one of the keys to our success.”
