The teams and drivers recently took into their stride the Roman Empire meme. The meme is about the fact that men think about the Roman Empire all the time as their female counterparts ask this question and make a reel about the men answering it.

Continuing on this trend, a video emerged where Fernando Alonso was seen sitting comfortably and reading a book that read, “The Roman Empire” as the title. However, Max Verstappen seems to be unaware of this trend and is focused on winning everything that he can. The Dutchman was asked the same question as he entered the paddock for the Japanese Grand Prix.
Max Verstappen was asked, “How often do you think about the Roman Empire?” Verstappen, who seemed to be unaware of the trend said, “Luckily not anymore because the only time I was thinking about that was for school.” The Dutchman then paused as he walked away, looked back, and added, “And I hate school.”

Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz were ecstatic about “The Roman Empire”

Carlos Sainz made sure that Fernando Alonso didn’t remain the only Spanish driver to post the Roman Empire trend. Scuderia Ferrari’s Instagram uploaded a reel where Charles Leclerc was given a book about the Roman Empire. Knowing exactly what was going on, Leclerc thanked the cameraman and passed it over to Carlos Sainz who advised that he’s been looking for the book. The title of the book read, “The Roman Empire Volume 2”
Even Mercedes’ Instagram page uploaded a reel asking the same question. George Russell also played along the trend as he answered, “All the time, who doesn’t?” Even the Alfa Romeo drivers were asked about it and both Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu advised that they never think about it.
