Max Verstappen is only 26 years old now. Despite his young age, we all know how dominant of a driver he is, breaking all kinds of records left and right. However, much like any athlete, his time at the top of the world might be short-lived. While there are drivers like Fernando Alonso who stay in the sport till they’re well over 40 years old, that’s not the future that the three-time world champion wants.
Max Verstappen is very clear that he won’t be in the sport for the next 10 years. The Red Bull driver has already thought about his future after the end of his time in Formula One. While most people think he’ll go endurance racing or even esports – the CEO of his personal brand revealed a brand new option.

Max Verstappen and Red Bull’s contract runs till the end of the 2028 season. There are rumors that the three-time world champion will only continue the sport if Red Bull continues developing a competitive car even in the 2026 regulations. His Personal brand, Verstappen.com is a popular spot for his fans to buy official Max Verstappen merchandise, including apparels and accessories. While they tend to sell a lot when the driver is still racing in some capacity, there is no way of knowing if they would be able to sell as much merch post his retirement.
However, if Max allows it, Verstappen.com could take a lot of different directions after his retirement, including fashion. “If Max says, I want to continue in fashion, then that is also an option. Or he continues with sim racing or karting centers. Or with an F1 department store, that is also possible,” reveals CEO Nico De Jong. While the idea of a Max Verstappen department store is amusing, there’s one thing that we know for sure.
The world champion is not giving up on racing anytime soon, and the time for a potential F1 department store is in the distant future. Regardless of when Verstappen decides to hang up his boots, we know that- Verstappen.com will live on. “It is not our ambition to close the doors here when Max stops racing.” Right now, Verstappen.com have other things on their mind, like putting together their own GT-3 racing team. That day, might be in the near future, and might not wait till Max Verstappen is done with racing.

“We are working on it at the moment. Next year will be tight, but I would like to have it as soon as possible. Having a GT3 team in 2025 with a minimum of two cars should be possible. We have been working on it for a while. The planning phase is over, we are in action mode now.” The sight of Max Verstappen being a team owner/team principal is simply lovely. Just imagine the type of radio comms he’ll be giving once race ends.
