Report: Christian Horner “Plans To” Attend Red Bull Car Launch Despite Career-Ending Allegations Looming

On Monday last week, allegations of inappropriate behavior against Christian Horner were made public by the Dutch morning newspaper, De Telegraaf. It is now known that the allegations came from a female employee at Red Bull Racing, who accused Horner of controlling and coercive behavior. Red Bull GmbH was quick to launch an internal investigation overseen by a specialist external barrister to decide Horner’s future in the team. While initially promised to be resolved quickly, it now looks like the investigation would go on for weeks on end. Amidst all the chaos surrounding the title-defending team, it was uncertain whether Horner would be part of the proceedings at the launch of the 2024 challenger planned on February 15th. Recent reports are suggesting that he might be present at the launch.

According to a recent tweet from RBR Daily, Christian Horner was present at the Silverstone shakedown that took place today and also plans to be present at the car launch according to Erik van Haren from De Telegraaf. He also suggests that it might take weeks before we get any sort of conclusion to the ensuing investigation.

Horner was part of what is being called an interview on Friday at a secret location in central London. The investigators were supposed to question Horner to hear his side of the story for the allegations made against him. And despite being questioned for more than 8 hours, the investigators have still not reached a conclusion. It is expected that other Red Bull Racing employees will also be interviewed to verify Horner’s statements made on Friday.

While Horner fights a two-way battle to protect both his reputation and his future within the team, his wife has remained by his side and continues to do so.

However, the situation may not be as straightforward for the former Spice Girl as explained by Jack Izzard, the PR boss of Rhizome Media.

Izzard highlighted the delicate situation faced by the couple, drawing parallels to Victoria Beckham’s public support for her husband, David Beckham, amidst infidelity allegations. According to him, allegations against a person in a position of power can have severe consequences more far-reaching than any extramarital affair. If Geri continues to support Horner, she is putting her reputation on the line in the public eye. However, if she doesn’t support him, people will think that their relationship has soured and the claims against Horner will seem more legitimate. It’s a classic case of catch-22.
