Untouchable and unbeatable so far, Max Verstappen has made the premier motorsport competition a child’s play. The flawless Dutchman has won a majority of the races, with Red Bull winning all so far. However, nobody can stay on top forever. In this case, it’s the top step of the podium. Despite the indestructible nature of Red Bull’s season, a former champ has foretold the venue for Red Bull’s inevitable fall with Ferrari‘s resurgence on the horizon.
The two Ferrari men put up a mega effort in Monza to give a glimmer of hope to the collective goal of all teams on the grid. Despite disrupting the order of things to an extent, the Italian team’s representatives could not go the distance and clinch a victory in their home race. According to Nico Rosberg, on the Sky Sports F1 podcast, Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc have the capability of triumphing in the next race in Singapore.

The tweet asked, “Which circuit is the most likely one where Ferrari and Co. could beat Red Bull?” To this Rosberg instantly replied, “Singapore! We can start with Singapore.”
Sainz held his own in the first 15 laps of the race but eventually fell victim to the superiority of the RB19 and the Dutchman. However, sometimes Ferrari becomes its own biggest enemy with its consistent strategic errors. These repeat scenarios in the past couple of season has also made judging the true superiority of Verstappen difficult to assess.
Despite his continued dominance, Pat Symonds questions the superiority of Max Verstappen
The Dutchman is a class apart and head and has been shoulders above the rest of the grid since the 2022 season. He has made winning look easy in the sport, which isn’t the case. However, looking at it from a different angle, Ferrari’s shoddy strategies made the task a bit easier for Verstappen and Co. In fact, he hasn’t had much competition from anyone apart from his teammate since the 2021 season.

This is exactly why the former chief of multiple teams, Pat Symonds, questioned the true nature of Verstappen’s superiority over his peers.
“He steered the last season superbly, but the challenge to be overcome during the year has somewhat collapsed, hasn’t it? Ferrari was there at the start of the year but at the end … it was not so much that they fell. Because their performance remained very good during the last races. But all the mistakes and the bad strategic decisions put Max on the royal road,” Symonds said.
