The Mexican Grand Prix was a two-tailed story. On one hand, Sergio Perez crashed out in lap 1 and ultimately has his future in danger. On the other, Daniel Ricciardo impressed everyone with his heroic performance. Most importantly though, it’s Red Bull team principal, Christian Horner, who was so impressed with Ricciardo that he couldn’t stop praising him. However, this has left the fans wondering whether the inevitable is bound to occur sooner, rather than later.
Daniel Ricciardo had a weekend to remember, at the Mexican Grand Prix. Not only did he out qualify Sergio Perez on his home soil. But also finished managed to grab a considerably better result. That too, in a fashion that left Christian Horner praising his race craft and determination. However, with Checo crashing, fans online have already started to predict that Ricciardo has finally earned his seat at Red Bull.

With Daniel Ricciardo already outperforming Checo at the 2023 Mexican GP, fans online couldn’t help themselves from already predicting the future. Unfortunately for Checo, the fans’ prediction is not good news for him!
Surely Daniel will be in place of Checo next year

Just like Christian Horner, this fan too got impressed by Daniel Ricciardo.
Might be over for Checo 😳 https://t.co/zT2N8jE5o0

Like many, this fan is already predicting Checo’s run at Red Bull to be over. With Ricciardo performing better, continuously struggling results in the most dominant car, and Verstappen winning race after race, Sergio Perez does not have a strong case for himself.
So when are they going to announce that Checo will be replaced by Ricciardo next season?

Ouch, this fan was brutally honest, as watching Horner praise Ricciardo in this manner could only mean one thing. Right?
trying a driver swap before the end of the season , Riccardo into Red Bull & Perez into Alpha, even if just for one race (Vegas…) might be what's needed to light a fire under Checo

This fan rather has a quite an interesting take. A temporary driver swap, of sorts. The idea of Ricciardo driving the RB19 in the upcoming Las Vegas Grand Prix would be fascinating. But let’s be honest, this is unlikely to happen.
Perez will stay at Red Bull. Just in the second team. Daniel will link up with Max.

Now this tweet from the fan presents another interesting take. A driver switch-up between Red Bull and AlphaTauri would be quite interesting. It’ll be interesting to see if the Red Bull group would be interested in having Checo at their sister team. Moreover, the duo of a Yuki Tsunoda and Sergio Perez would be quite interesting.

Sergio Perz’s crash at the Mexican Grand Prix comes at a heavy price. With Red Bull having Mexican sponsors, who were most likely disappointed, and Daniel Ricciardo impressing stunningly, the future is not looking too well for him. And moreover, with Lewis Hamilton finishing #2 and grabbing valuable points, if Checo loses his position at the driver’s standings in the upcoming races, that just might be the final nail in the coffin.
