Round 22 of the F1 races 2023 begins in Las Vegas tomorrow after a gap of over 30 years. While the initial buzz for the event was high, they have been subjected to heavy backlash from fans primarily on account of ticket prices and timings. Added to that, there were the exorbitant hotel prices that ensured that most fans had a difficult time making up their minds about attendance in the race. Amidst all the chaos, Max Verstappen’s girlfriend Kelly Piquet has come up with an offer that will surely make fans curious.
While hotel prices and ticket prices for the Las Vegas GP continue to reduce drastically, Kelly Piquet has got a room to offer for those fans who thought they might have to give the event a miss. Will anyone be up for it and will fans make last-minute bookings for the races?

Even before the issue of accommodations, fans were not too pleased with the news of F1 coming to Vegas. However, a sore thumb was that affordable accommodations were nowhere to be found in Las Vegas until a few days ago. As a study done by the motorsports website, oversteer.com had shown, the average nightly room rate in hotels had increased by over 300% and had seen a maximum increase of 466% as compared to prices in 2022. However, after the initial surge in prices and some panic buying, these prices have come crashing down as the hotels realized that there were no takers for it.
However, affordable or not, Kelly Piquet did have a room on offer. The Brazilian model put up a story on Instagram, putting one room up for grabs. She wrote, “Anyone looking for a hotel room in Vegas for F1 weekend? Only serious DMs please 🙏🏻.”
We are sure her DMs would be full of fans willing to take the room. However, how long will this chaos last? According to Liberty Media’s CEO Greg Maffei, not for long.
Liberty Media CEO addresses the chaotic Las Vegas GP
It seems the Las Vegas GP is doing more bad than good for the owners of F1, Liberty Media, who categorically would want to make as much money from the sport as possible. However, their first attempt to host a race isn’t going according to the plan. Yet, the CEO of Liberty Media, Greg Maffei, believes the race that is on the calendar for the next 10 years will be more streamlined from next year.

“On the initial costs, we’ve got an opening ceremony that’s grand. Won’t have that in future years. We had a bunch of initial start-up costs around security, around temporary bridges, around optimizing the fan experience in a hurry that over time we’re going to be optimized both for the quality of the fan experience, but also for probably improved profitability,” assured the CEO.
“But the impact, not just of the race, but what it will do to our interest among sponsors, what it will do to our interest among fans, we think that is going to be enduring from this year forward,” he concluded.
