The recently concluded Abu Dhabi Grand Prix was the last race of Sebastian Vettel’s F1 journey. After spending 16 long years in the sport, the four-time world champion has decided to pull the curtain on his long, illustrated Formula 1 career. As the German driver paid a visit to Red Bull, the team that helped him achieve greatness, fans reacted to the same on social media.

Vettel went to the Red Bull garage ahead of his Abu Dhabi race. Red Bull were the team who helped the 35-year-old claim four back-to-back driver’s titles from 2010 to 2013. Vettel, in return, helped the Austrian team to clinch four constructors’ championships.
As the German went to the Bulls’ paddock, he was received with the warmest of welcome by the team principal, Christian Horner. Horner and Vettel share an amicable relationship from the German’s Red Bull days. As the former Ferrari driver arrived at the garage, he was gifted a signed Red Bull memento, i.e. the trademark wing.

Calling him one of Red Bull’s stars, they also wanted the team to let the Aston Martin driver drive his old Red Bull, with which he won the World Championship.

As the Abu Dhabi GP got over, Vettel came home in P10 and fetched one point for the team. Pushing McLaren’s Daniel Ricciardo until the very last turn of the very last lap, Vettel gave his former teammate a run for his money. And with this, his team, Aston Martin, finished ahead of Haas in the WCC.
