Red Bull showed phenomenal performances in the Friday testing for the Saudi Arabian GP but still are behind Ferrari. Max Verstappen was the second quickest after Charles Leclerc on both the practice session on Friday.

The Milton Keynes base is doing their best to recover the points they lost last week in Bahrain. The Austrian constructors had to retire both their cars during the final few laps of the Bahrain GP because of a glitch in the engine.

A Red Bull spokesperson recently revealed the problem with the car’s engine last week. The Austrian constructor has fixed the problem but hopes to not get another double DNF in the Jeddah race.

The Red Bull spokesperson said, “Both cars fell into low fuel pressure last weekend. Both cars had the correct amount of fuel left, but a vacuum occurred and the pump couldn’t suck up the fuel and supply it to the engine.”

“I’ve taken the necessary steps to resolve this issue, so I don’t think it’s a problem this weekend.”

Can Red Bull win in Jeddah?

The Austrian constructor showcased phenomenal performance with the RB18 during the pre-season and the qualifying in Bahrain. But Red Bull was still second to the Italian giants Ferrari. The Reds dominated the pre-season and were the favorites to win the Bahrain GP.

Charles Leclerc throughout the entire race, gave a tough time to the reigning champion, not letting him overtake. Eventually, it seemed like Verstappen had to settle with a second-place finish, but soon he left the circuit due to an engine failure.

But the Milton Keynes base still had hopes from Sergio Perez who could have finished third. But he also retired from the race because of his car spun due to an engine failure.

The Milton Keynes base has resolved the issue relating to the RB18 PU. But the Austrian constructors still couldn’t bring out the maximum speed from their 2022 challenger. The 2021 World Champion had to again settle for second place in both the Friday practices. Meanwhile, Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz and Red Bull’s Sergio Perez finished P4 and P7 after the FP1. But they also moved up in the table during the second practice session, Sainz at P3 and Checo at P4.
