While we are still digesting the action from French GP, it is race week once again. Formula 1 heads to Budapest for round 13 of the championship. We expect the Hungaroring to add more drama to this electrifying title fight between the Ferrari and the Red Bull.

The Hungary GP features a very challenging circuit and the drivers need a good rhythm to secure a fast lap. In the middle sector, the key to success is a positive change in direction, and having a lot of downforce is very helpful. The strength of the F1-75 is the amount of downforce it can generate and that has helped the Italian giants achieve the triumph this season.

Verstappen is fearful of the Ferrari’s pace as he said, “They have so much downforce that they’re faster when they slide around, In Budapest, they will drive us around the ears.” (translated using Google)

The Red Bull boss, Helmut Marko, further added “Sainz once drove a lap time in qualifying that was extraterrestrial. We were almost a second away. That must give us food for thought if they are able to reproduce such times regularly,”

Ferrari aims for a 1-2 at Hungary

The visit to Paul Ricard did not pan out the way the red team would have liked. They lost a significant amount of championship points to the Milton Keynes outfit. Leclerc crashed out of the race and Sainz was able to salvage a P5 after starting from the back of the grid, which translated into 11 points for them.

On the other hand, the raging bulls secured 37 points to extend their advantage upfront. Moreover, the Italian racing stable has another threat from behind in the form of the 8-time constructor winners. The Mercedes duo is opportunistic to always grab the big points when the top team drops the ball. The Germans face a 44-point deficit standing P3 in the table.

The Ferrari boss, Mattia Binotto, explained the team’s goal for the upcoming race by saying “Our goal is not just to win, but to achieve a one-two.” After a sub-par weekend, the reds require a clean weekend to bounce back and stop the Austrian team from running away with the championship.
