It is not every day you see an F1 driver going head-to-head with a fighter jet. But what do you do when you have won everything in F1, including the record for most race wins, and 7 world titles? Lewis Hamilton raced an Aero L-39 Albatros Jet for an IWC commercial.

Lewis Hamilton is arguably the greatest racing legend of all time. The Mercedes driver holds several accolades in the sport. But it has been a disappointing season for the Silver Arrows man so far. Mercedes and Hamilton are yet to win a race this season. Hamilton has never finished a season without a win in a calendar year in his 15-year career.

However, in his latest advertisement video, he did more than just race an F1 car. In the commercial for IWC, which also sponsors Lewis, they put the former McLaren driver alongside an Albatros fighter jet.

Seeing this, fans took a dig at the Red Bull case cap breach and referred to the jet as the W14 (Mercedes’s next year’s F1 car) after Toto Wolff seemingly threatened to ignore the cost cap next year amid the ongoing drama.

Red Bull was guilty of a procedural breach as well as breaching the financial budget cap. Meanwhile, Aston Martin was only guilty of a procedural breach.
