It was only on Wednesday that Alfa Romeo revealed the launch date of their 2022 challenger, C42, scheduling it for February 27. Now, only a day later, Red Bull Racing have finally announced the unveiling of RB18. Despite being one of the last teams to make the announcement, the Milton Keynes outfit will be the first team to bring the covers off their challenger.

The much-awaited RB18 will officially arrive on February 09, a day before Aston Martin’s revealing of AMR22. There were an awful number of rumors swirling around the F1 community in recent weeks over alleged failed crash tests for Red Bull.

One could also connect the dots quite effortlessly as the Christian Horner-led outfit, too, remained hidden from social media with no announcements whatsoever on RB18. Hence, amidst the failed crash test, it almost looked like Red Bull might be one of the last teams to unveil their challenger.

The Dutchman modeled himself holding his crash helmet and sporting a flashy-looking Tag Heuer watch on his wrist. And as the dim-lighted video came to an end, the launch date showed up!

There isn’t any concern about the former, as they were initially the first team to receive homologation from the FIA and they could be busy with assembling the VF-22.
