Red Bull F1’s Max Verstappen is all set to head into the 2021 season sporting a gorgeous new helmet. Verstappen took to social media to share his new helmet design with the world as he aims to dethrone Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton and win his first championship this year.

Verstappen followed in the footsteps of his teammate Sergio Perez, who revealed his own lid soon after the team’s car launch. The Dutchman’s new helmet reveal featured a video. In that, he can be heard saying, “2021, my third year with a white helmet. Because why change something when it feels so good?

“Just keep pushing to improve. Although the helmet hasn’t changed that much, I always expect more.”

The Red Bull ace’s helmet is quite similar to its predecessor. It uses a pristine white as its base color and features the infamous Red Bull logo on the sides while also sporting a beautiful golden/orange tiger design on the top. The helmet also features a logo of Honda and the designers of the helmet in black, lending a very good contrast.

It looks like one beautiful lid that would look good on the head of a driver expected to challenge for the title.

Can Max Verstappen deny Hamilton his record-breaking title win this year?

The Silver Arrows’ superstar Hamilton is going to be vying for an unprecedented eighth world crown. The only people who seem likely to deny him are Verstappen and his teammate Valtteri Bottas.

While the jury remains out on Bottas’ capability to catch Hamilton, Max has shown that if given a chance, he can surely take the fight to Lewis.

With certain aerodynamic changes and some concerns over their engine’s reliability, Mercedes may be at their weakest. However, their package is still far superior to most others on the grid, and Verstappen will have to pull out something real special if he wants to take the title.

If he can do that, he may well put himself on Mercedes’ radar as Hamilton’s successor, if he isn’t already. However, if he decides to remain with Red Bull, this may be his best shot to dethrone the seven-time world champion.

Can he do the unthinkable and notch his first title this year? Or will it be more of the same from Hamilton and Mercedes?
