Following an eventful Austrian GP, Red Bull team boss Christian Horner has come out all guns blazing. Horner was particularly unhappy with the tangle that George Russell and Sergio Perez had. The duo tangled in the opening lap of the race, with the Mexican ending up in the gravel.

The damage sustained during the crash later forced Perez to retire. This prompted some harsh words from Red Bull boss Christian Horner.

He said, “I don’t think Mercedes like our cars going around the outside at turn four.”

He added, “It was a shame because Checo, you could see he was ahead there. It’s almost a mirror image with Alex from a couple of years ago,” hinting at the Hamilton Albon incident.

However, Horner also said, “It’s a tricky corner. We’ve seen so many incidents on the outside. It’s just a shame he wasn’t given more space, but it’s one of those things.”

Analyzing the sprint race, he went on to add, “we pushed a bit harder at the beginning, paid a little bit at the end, but over the whole stint on our analysis, we were identical to that of Ferrari.”

He further added, “we just need to understand why, in that first stint, our deg was significantly worse than Charles and Carlos.”
