Toto Wolff has been really aggressive in the recent month or so and has been firing shots from every direction toward Red Bull. Just days ago he suggested how Red Bull makes the other teams look like an F2 car. Now months after Red Bull’s $7 Million crimes, Toto Wolff is back to shoot fiery shots in Red Bull’s direction as he makes a confession. What did Wolff say?
Red Bull breached the cost cap regulation last year and has faced immense backlash for it ever since. The team was fined $7,000,000 and a 10% reduction in aerodynamic testing for the same was also given to Red Bull. However, despite that limitation, Red Bull has produced a rocketship of an RB19 leaving the competition a postcode behind. Toto Wolff and other TP were left to brainstorm how Christian Horner and Co. did it.
#F1: Toto Wolff: “In a day and age where so many terrible things are happening because of lack of integrity or honesty, or just lack of humility – I think this goes totally against our values in the team, and that’s why I’d rather lose a championship than cheat.”

Toto Wolff has now come out once again and fired shots at Red Bull regarding the 2022 crimes. Wolff explained how he and his team would rather lose a championship than cheat and win it. It was directly pointed toward Christian Horner and Co. who were caught in the cost cap breach saga & many team bosses like Zak Brown accused RBR of cheating.
Speaking on BBC’s Desert Island Discs program, Toto Wolff said, “In a day and age where so many terrible things are happening because of lack of integrity or honesty, or just lack of humility – I think this goes totally against our values in the team, and that’s why I’d rather lose a championship than cheat.”
FIA has started additional investigations into the 2022 cost cap submissions with three teams being under suspicion and Red Bull’s name is rumored to be one of those. What if Red Bull is found guilty again? Regardless, George Russell suggests that the punishment wasn’t enough.

Russell suggests that a 10% reduction time and a $7 million fine wasn’t enough of a punishment for Red Bull. Red Bull are clearly a class apart this season despite the penalty. Russell suggested that the cost cap should be breached again. If breached by a repeat offender then the punishment should be greater than what is considered a fair penalty
According to Si.com, George Russell said “I think there were breaches last year and clearly the punishment didn’t fit the crime. We don’t want to be seeing that happen again, and if it’s a second-time offender the punishment should be even greater than perhaps what is a fair punishment, if it’s happened two years in a row.”
