Statistically speaking, Lewis Hamilton is the greatest-ever Formula 1 driver in the history of the sport. With 103 wins and 191 podiums under his belt, he is by far the most successful man in the pinnacle form of motorsport. However, there’s only one man who comes close to challenging the legacy of the Briton. He is Michael Schumacher. Both Hamilton and Schumacher have seven world titles each and the Mercedes driver picking up one more title in the future will surely give him the GOAT status and this is what the Briton is looking forward to. In a recent revelation, the Mercedes driver admitted to such an intention in the future, which in return made the fans fear for him.

As per Sky Sports, Lewis Hamilton recently took a lie detector test for one of Sky Sports F1’s interview segments. There, during the interview, there was a question that asked if the Mercedes driver was going to keep on trying until he gets his eighth title. To which he answered yes, and the machine said it was true.

However, it’s not the Mercedes driver that the fans are worried about, but the Silver Arrows machine. Admittedly, the Silver Arrows have not been the best machines from Brackley off late. After the new regulations came into effect, the W13 was much inferior to that of Red Bull’s RB18 or Ferrari’s F1-75 and hence Hamilton’s shot at the championship was dealt a heavy blow. This means, until and unless the Brackley-based team can give the 38-year-old a championship-worthy car, it’s hard for him to win the championship.

Fans voiced their concern for Lewis Hamilton over Mercedes’ challenger status

The fans took the social media to share their concerns for Lewis Hamilton after the Briton revealed his intention to win the eighth championship. With the W14 untested so far, fans believe the Mercedes man might have to race even after he dies to take home his championship.
