The 2023 season is finally underway, with testing in Bahrain going on in full swing. But before the actual races start, it is important for new fans to familiarize themselves with the drivers. In furtherance of that objective, F1 is releasing drivers’ “mugshots” with a board that reads their preferences in different walks of life. As Max Verstappen reveals his choices, fans brutally troll him for being too “boring”.

Verstappen lives and breathes racing. Even during the off-season, his favorite pastime is racing on the sim he installed in his home. In fact, he does not take it as a pastime. The Dutchman is so serious about sim racing that before the virtual Le Mans, he told how he maintains a curfew around his room during virtual competitive races to ensure that his cats and girlfriend Kelly Piquet’s daughter do not disturb him. Turns out, away from racing, the reigning champion does not have too many interests.

In a 2020 interview for Red Bull’s official website, when they asked Max about his favorite meal, he said, “Carpaccio and tomato soup.” Not many believed him back then for choosing tomato soup as his favorite meal. However, as it turns out, he wasn’t kidding at all.

In the recent picture doing the rounds of the internet, under favorite food, Max wrote, “tomato soup and beef carpaccio.” While that was a little too uncomfortable for fans, him not having a hype song bothered them too much.

Some fans had some creative insults for a man they felt was too boring for their liking.

Last year, when Red Bull was found guilty of breaching the cost cap for the 2021 season, team boss Christian Horner blamed it on their high catering cost. Some fans took this opportunity to take a dig at that narrative.

Some fans either found the post relatable or just funny.
