Kelly Piquet recently appeared in a cover story for Vogue. While the fashion magazine will release the full interview in a couple of days, they teased us with a section of the interview. The Brazilian model talked about being stoked to appear on a cover story for the esteemed fashion magazine and also opened up on her origin story. When she opened up about her childhood, racing had to come up.

Kelly told, “My earliest memories are from the race track, when I first came to Brazil at the age of five with my brother Nelson who was eight. He took up karting and was instantly obsessed. They are fond memories, the afternoons spent at the go-kart track after school, watching it go round and round until the sun went down. I was fooling around, playing with the mechanics.”

“There’s a really cute video of me walking down the pit lane with a sandwich in one hand and a drink in the other, with my hair up to my buttocks. The princess of the track.” [Translated using Google]
