With the worst start to a season since 2009, Ferrari is facing a lot of problems at once. Apart from the problems with the car, the poor start is also generating a lot of negative media attention. The attention has mainly surrounded the stars of the team, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz. Rumors have started circling the two Ferrari men like vultures regarding their future with the team. Unfortunately, Ferrari’s president’s brother Lapo Elkann gave birth to one of the rumors thanks to his deleted Tweet about Santander Bank. However, the Italian businessman has taken to Twitter to do some damage control.

After Lapo Elkann tweeted about Santander Bank, fans instantly connected his tweet to Sainz. Sainz has been a loyal servant for the Italian team but doesn’t always get the same amount of love as Leclerc. That is the current media perception and exactly why speculation about the Spaniard’s future started making rounds. However, Sainz discredited all rumors linking him to Audi and pledged his loyalty to the Maranello outfit.
