Lewis Hamilton is undoubtedly a global superstar. Being a seven-time world champion has made him one of the most decorated racing drivers in history. And off the track, he often goes out of his way to help others, which has been praised by the public and other high-profile figures in the motorsports world.

There’s nothing he loves more than to help those in need, and once again, he has spread his kindness. Popular Brazilian singer Anitta’s father was recently diagnosed with cancer. Ahead of his surgery, Hamilton himself sent a video to cheer the singer’s father.

Apparently, he is a huge Lewis Hamilton fan, like many around the world. After the surgery was successful, using her social media, she disclosed the good news that her father is cancer-free. Furthermore, the Brazilian also posted her father’s reaction to the video and a message thanking Hamilton for the same.

It read, “(Also to @LewisHamilton: my dad’s biggest idol helped him sending a video on his surgery day to make him think positive and believe in the cure). I never felt so sad then… but now…I never felt so happy. So much support. Forever grateful.”

 

It is certainly a noble gesture from the Briton. Despite going through a tough season, he has once again taken time out to spread positivity and hope. This once again proves why millions of people take Hamilton as an inspiration.

Lewis Hamilton addresses retirement rumors

The 2022 season has not panned out the way Hamilton wanted. The Mercedes driver is currently 6th in the table and is already 75 points behind leader Max Verstappen. To add to his misery, his teammate George Russell has outperformed him throughout the season.

As the results are not turning around, rumors about his retirement have increased. However, the 37-year-old has shut down the rumors and revealed that he will continue to race.

He told Corriere della Ser, “Why should I stop? Let’s take this season: I probably won’t win the title, but I feel the same pleasure of competing as when I started. Maybe one day I won’t be able to take the pressure anymore, I’ll be tired, but that day hasn’t come yet.”
