In the 2022 season, Ferrari man Charles Leclerc claimed 9 pole positions surpassing a long-standing Maranello record of the mighty Michael Schumacher from 2004. What are the other similarities between the two talented men’s careers? Next to none, considering that the German made the Italian team great again and the same team has left Charles Leclerc devoid of all hope. He perhaps didn’t think it was possible when, with a wide grin, he declared to the world that he has the longest contract in the history of Scuderia Ferrari. And now that seems more like shackles, which have tied down a very talented man to a subpar car with an even worse strategy.
Charles Leclerc starts P7 tomorrow. Wondering what happened to Mr. Saturday within a span of a few months? The answer to that lies in the same old Ferrari blunder. The newest trick the team pulled out was to not communicate with their drivers. Another miscommunications blunder meant Charles got stuck behind his teammate Carlos Sainz who himself didn’t have the greatest time in Q3 either.
Didn’t drive well enough and a messy Q3 means we’ll only start P7. But the race is tomorrow, and I’ll give everything to come back 👊 pic.twitter.com/L8mEWOXN1e

Leclerc took a “we will talk about it” approach, not outrightly blaming the team for making a rookie mistake yet again. He also put out a hopeful message on his social media saying he will “give everything to come back.” While there hasn’t ever been an iota of doubt regarding that, the Tifosi have not had enough.
