Standing at 5 ft 3 inches tall, Yuki Tsunoda is the shortest driver on the current F1 grid. The AlphaTauri pilot often becomes the subject of jokes on social media and does not shy away from making some jokes himself. But sometimes, comedy just writes itself. That is the kind of situation Tsunoda found himself in recently.

F1 drivers aren’t the tallest of athletes out there. In fact, the smaller a driver’s physical stature, the easier it gets for the team to deal with the car’s weight issues. And given how big a role weight plays in the development of cars, AlphaTauri has the biggest blessing in having the shortest driver.

Ever since his arrival in F1, Yuki has been nothing but a sport when it comes to jokes about his height. He once famously had the most hilarious reply to AlphaTauri’s social media post about him.

In another incident, the team was trying to promote their clothing line’s new collection in 2021. Tsunoda with the best self roast commented, “now extra small is available.”

This time around, fans found a picture of “pocket sized” Yuki is standing next to 7 ft 6 inches tall basketball player Mamadou N’Diaye and jokes just flew right off the bat. Have a look at some reactions from Twitter.

Some let their observations go wild as a kindergarten student-teacher comparison caught us off guard.

While Yuki posed with a big smile next to Mamadou, the 229 cm tall giant’s hand on his shoulder made it look like he was preventing a little kid from running away.

To see them both with their shoes and their head in the full frame together, you’d have to open the full picture on Twitter. The auto-cropping certainly failed here.
