Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda have developed a really good partnership with each other. We often see the AlphaTauri drivers having fun with each other off the track and cracking each other at every given opportunity.

But Tsunoda’s latest comments on how he would describe his bond with Gasly have left everyone in splits. We know the Japanese driver for his candor and not having a filter for his thoughts.

According to wtf1, he recently revealed that his bond with the French driver can best be described as “girlfriend or boyfriend”. Gasly took to his Instagram Story and called out Tsunoda for his comments.
“We need to talk @yukitsunoda,” wrote Pierre, claiming clarification from Yuki.
Pierre Gasly reflects on his teammates’ debut season
Yuki made his debut last season with AlphaTauri after an impressive ascend in his junior career. Everyone was eagerly waiting to see how the Japanese driver would perform in F1. He started his F1 career very strong as he claimed his first points in his first race.
But it all went downhill from there, as he crashed way too often during the season. Gasly too took note of his teammate’s struggles and gave his assessment of Yuki’s debut season.
“Yuki makes a bit too many mistakes. Just like pushing really hard all of the time, and I guess he is just trying to find the right balance. He’s expensive as well because he has shunted a couple of cars already,” said Pierre.

It is certainly an interesting assessment made by the French driver. Yuki managed to put some strong performances in the latter half of the season and finished the final race P4 ahead of his teammate.

It is an important year for both AlphaTauri drivers, as they need to work together as a team to achieve better results than in the 2021 season. Also, there won’t be any more excuses for the Japanese driver if he does not perform in his second season.
It is an incredibly tight midfield in the 2022 season, so both drivers need to be at their best to get as many pints as possible for the team. Let’s see if they can finish higher than P6, what they achieved last year.
