Ever since the embarrassing Red Bull stint, Pierre Gasly has been at the top of his game, pulling off consistent performances weekend in weekend out and playing a crucial role in the success of AlphaTauri.

However, the Frenchman has bigger targets to accomplish apart from guiding a mid-field team to glory; Gasly wants a world championship title in F1. And securing it with AlphaTauri is undoubtedly a bit too far-fetched right now amid the incredible resilience of Mercedes and Red Bull.

Hence, the only possible way for Gasly to achieve his long-dreamt target is by returning to Red Bull, who look much fiercer than before. And then when I compare myself to those who have been given the opportunity for a Red Bull seat, it’s disappointing. Based on the numbers and the results, I’ve performed better than anyone else on this team. But at the end of the day, I don’t get the recognition and reward for it. That’s hard to swallow. Of course that disappoints me.”
